what is the bird strike

bird strike is a collision between a bird and a man-made vehicle mostly in aircraft while is in operation. they are most likely to occur during the takeoff initial ascent approach and landing is uncommon for bird collisions to happen when a plane is cruising at high altitudes because birds usually fly at lower levels.

more than half of incidents happened in daylight because birds typically fly in daylight. bird strike or wildlife strike is a common thing in the aviation industry. aircraft damage from bird strikes depends on the size of the aircraft smaller aircraft mostly experience structural damages in some cases, especially with helicopter windscreen penetration may injure pilot and other people in aircraft this may have disastrous consequences. large aircraft mostly powered by jet engines commonly experience engine malfunction or engine failure. there is no permanent solution to this problem. modern aircraft are designed and built according to strict standards general fitness of an aircraft is tested before it's brought into use also minimize such events as much as possible authorities use different methods to achieve that some airports have specialized ground-based radar systems helps is the detection of large flocks of birds some airport are broadcasting the sounds of predatory birds also habitat management in and around the airport helps reduce the bird strike. bird strike cannot be completely prevented but with careful planning, the number of incidents can be reduced.
