RADAR

RADAR refers for Radio Detecting And Ranging, and it is based on the use of radio waves, as the name suggests. Radars, like wireless computer networks and mobile phones, emit electromagnetic waves. The signals are sent out in brief pulses that may be reflected by objects in their path, returning to the radar in part. Part of the energy is scattered back to the radar when these pulses encounter precipitation. Hearing an echo is akin to this notion. When you yell into a well, for example, the sound waves of your voice are reflected off the water and returned to you. The pulse reflects off precipitation and transmits a signal back to the radar in the same way. Based on this data,
